Class Descriptions

Tuesday Mornings 9am

Gentle Yoga with Kathleen Anderson

This class combines gentle movements with breath. Gentle Yoga is perfect for beginners as well as people with specific limitations and those recovering from injury. More experienced students who enjoy a slower paced class also enjoy Gentle Yoga. Classes focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath and helping students gain strength and flexibility. Gentle yoga uses classical hatha postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels of yoga students. Outdoors under the trees next to the lake.

Tuesday Evenings 7pm

Foundations of Vinyasa Flow Yoga With Rebekah Feaster

Yoga can seem a bit intimidating if you have never practiced so a beginner’s course is a great way to begin! Yoga is accessible to more kinds of people than you might think so do not count yourself out because you worry about your flexibility. If you are able to move up and down off the floor and bare some body weight in your arms then you are an ideal candidate. By the end of our time together you will be able to feel confident jumping into any traditional Vinyasa class. We will cover a little bit of meditation, beginning postures, Sun Salutation A and B, and other common postures which you will frequently be asked to perform in a practice. You will also learn how to connect your movements to your breath which will help you to get the most out of your individual practice. Outdoors under the trees next to the lake.

Wednesday Evenings 7pm

Flow Yoga With Robbin Hallford of Bridge Yoga

A 60 minute class where yoga postures are connected to your breath allowing for smooth transitions and the ability to meet the challenge of the practice. Strength, stretch and stability for the entire body are woven into a sequence of postures that will support your ability to move with ease for a lifetime, prevent injury and improve performance while doing your favorite activities. The flow of the class can take on the aspect of a moving meditation, bridging the gap between mind and body, and increasing your body awareness. Variations are offered for all body types and levels of fitness and flexibility. Indoor classes will be in a warmed room, and outdoor classes are in a shaded area next to the lake.

Thursday Mornings 9am

Yin Yoga With Kathleen Anderson

This practice is designed to help you find stillness and reconnect with your authentic self-improving your overall health and well-being. It also helps you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia.

*Please plan to arrive early enough to make your way down to the lakeside platform and set up. You must provide your own yoga mat, props and water.

Outdoors under the trees next to the lake.
